2)Business Arising from Minutes/ New Business
Discussed insurance issue related to church use.
Deacons will be submitting job description for a church secretary to council.
Book Study: Council reviewed the book Faithful And Fruitful, Chapter 4 “Continuing in Prayer”. Pastor Anjema will review Chapter 5 “Elders and Deacons as Hospitality Leaders” at next meeting.
Correspondence:
Received correspondence was discussed.
Various information to be distributed to the congregation via email.
Reports:
Deacon Reports: Financial support is being provided to a member of the congregation. The 2021 collection schedule has been forwarded to the bulletin editor for distribution. The deacons reported that the 2021 budget was passed. Various devotionals are being distributed. Deacons have been in regular contact with members of the church. Year end statements are being prepared.
Elder Reports: Elders continue to make contact with their districts. It was noted that Matt and Brittany Kamstra recently had a baby girl.
Pastor’s Report: Pastor Anjema reported that Classis Western Canada February 2021 has been postponed. Several letters were written to cabinet ministers regarding the current shutdown.
